2002 Season - Training Camp

The most important date in Sport has just been announced by Chief BUM. The 2002 BUMS NFL Fantasy Draft will take place on Saturday evening August 31st from 7pm at BUMS HQ in the picturesque and quiet rural village of Langley in the Royal county of Berkshire. Make a big note in your diary, this is the event that you know you need to be at. If however you are being abducted by Aliens that evening and will not be able to attend please let me know and we’ll sort out an alternative way for you to select your warriors to challenge current Champion Marcus. Welcome to Ron Following Gully’s decision to resign after 6 years with the BUMS he has sold his franchise to Ron Chakraborty for an unspecified fee (thought to be a well worn 49’ers cap and 2 Mars Bars). Ron becomes another member from the BBC to join our merry group and as a Jet fan I expect him to receive some well aimed abuse from Bills fans Paul and Phil and the Dolfans (Johnny and David ‘The Rant’ Stamp). Ron be warned you will hear from The Rant, and probably sooner than you think. Ron joins in The Conference whilst Gully was in The Premiership so in order to keep the divisions balanced, after just one year in the league Wayne becomes the first franchise to win, or in all truth to be given promotion. League Restructure This unexpected promotion means our divisions (in draft order) are CONFERENCE John, Aaron, AP, Phil and Ron. PREMIERSHIP Wayne, Cheryl, Dave G, David S, Andy H, Johnny, Daz, Gareth, Mark, Paul and Marcus who as Champion has the last pick in each round. Remember it’s 3 up and 3 down at the end of each season so all to play for. In a copycat move which has the Chief contemplating Legal Action (advise being sort from Al Davis) the NFL has also restructured. The 4 divisions per Conference are:- AFC EAST - Buffalo, Miami, New England & NY Jets AFC NORTH - Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland & Pittsburgh AFC SOUTH - Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville & Tennessee AFC WEST - Denver, Kansas City, Oakland & San Diego NFC EAST - Dallas, NY Giants, Philadelphia & Washington NFC NORTH - Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay & Minnesota NFC SOUTH - Atlanta, Carolina, New Orleans & Tampa Bay NFC WEST - Arizona, St Louis, San Francisco & Seattle BUMS PreSeason Guide Including Player Prices, Franchise Players and all the Draft Rules will be available soon but as I’m at The Open and Comm Games it may be a few weeks before these come through.
